STARBOARD CORRIDOR AFT FROM FORWARD STAIRWAY TO LOUNGE. 

3499  The green painted and gilt oak panelling, with reeded pillars, fitted three panelled cupboards containing switchboards and cut-outs, and having eight arched-top windows, fitted seven casement openings with fasteners, in all about 131 ft. run by 9 ft., the pierced brass and painted pipe coverings at floor level, and the painted wood ceiling, with recessed panels 

3500  The erection of revolving and folding doors, in four glazed sections, with brass fittings, bolts, kicking plates, and patent draught excluders, complete with framing

3503  THE CARVED OAK PANELLING THROUGHOUT, with scroll floral and shell ornamentation, including a pair of doors with bevelled plate, upper panels having ornamental ormolu fittings, floor springs and stops, the exterior carved and painted in green and gilt, a carved and panelled post box with wire liner and two doors, the windows complete with leaded glass panels, fittings, etc., the outer windows with glazed panels and green canvas coverings, the eight partitions, four having plate-glass panels forming four alcoves, the carved oak door to dispense bar, with bevelled plate-glass panels, ormolu fittings, door spring and stop, the ditto to Port Corridor, two centre partitions, having shaped plate-glass panels, the grey carved marble mantelpiece and grey marble hearth, with iron fleur de lys fire back and shaped mirror over, the finely carved mahogany shaped bookcase with scroll and shell pediment, fitted shelves and enclosed by five glazed panelled doors with dwarf cupboards under enclosed by twelve panelled doors with ormolu fittings, 18 ft. overall, the painted and gilt decorated ceiling with scroll and musical instrument ornamentations with oval cupola, and the oak ceiling to the four supporting columns, 11 ft. 4 high, also the pierced brass pipe coverings at floor level, the ormolu bell presses, and the fitted cabin hooks, Overall measurements of Lounge about 66 ft. by 66 ft. by 11 ft. 4 high

3512  THE FINELY CARVED MAHOGANY PANELLING to room, with supporting pillars, and floral and scroll ornamentation and egg and tongue mouldings, inlaid mother-o’-pearl in scroll and floral designs as fixed throughout, having numerous leaded glass panels and windows, with scenic and figure panels, forming four bay windows, with leaded panels over, two side-screens with plate-glass panels, a three-sided screen, enclosing cloak room, chimney breast, with oil painting in panel over fireplace—”New York Harbour,” by NORMAN WILKINSON, 31 in. by 68 in., the whole fitted two doors with plate-glass panels to aft companionway, two panelled doors to lavatories, door-frame to starboard verandah café, folding revolving door to port verandah café with brass and glazed panels on café side, the doors having plate-glass upper panels including the ormolu and brass door fittings complete, the floor springs to doors, the ormolu bell-presses and the pierced brass pipe coverings where fitted at floor level, also the moulded and painted panelled ceilings to bays, and the main ceiling in three sections, with raised mouldings, the reeded mahogany carvings to uprights and the mahogany carvings on ceiling, size of room: 64 ft. by 62 ft. 6 overall by 11 ft. 6 high

3516  The painted oak panelling to walls, with blue painted applied trellis decoration complete with ten arched-top mirror panels with painted iron frames and ornamentations, four arched-top windows with ditto, seven painted brackets at floor level, a pair of glazed painted iron sliding doors, screw opening to deck, the painted serving hatch to bar with panelled mahogany cupboard under, enclosed by pair of panelled doors, 2 ft. 6 wide, the ormolu electric bell presses, and the painted panelled ceiling with lattice borders. 3520  The green painted and gilt oak panelling with reeded pillars having five arched-top windows, four fitted casement openings with fastenings, with door to Lounge and Deck Pantry, and door to Port Deck, with plated fittings and patent Yale spring, the pierced brass pipe coverings at floor level, and the painted wood ceiling with recessed panels. Panelling about 120 ft. run by 9 ft. 

 

STAIRCASES, ETC.  

3521  THE COSTLY PALE BLUE PAINTED-ON-OAK FIRST CLASS MAIN STAIRCASE AND PANELLING, with carved leaf mouldings, reeded gilt wood handrails, and carved gilt floral swags, as follows: The panelling to Main Boat Deck gallery, down to lower landing floor level, having eleven arched windows, two doors to outer deck, with door checks, half-glazed enclosures to two corner lobbies, each with hung door and Stevens brass floor plates, the casing to five cross members and six composite columns on square pedestals, the white painted ceiling (rectangular panels only), one panel painted Italian landscape, and the arched staircase panel of carved figures and pendants of fruit, painted in colors (excluding clock), the numerous plated cabin hooks to panelling and two lengths of handrail, dimensions of gallery 31 ft. 4 by 54 ft. 10 by 9 ft. 2 high (Gallery) and 12 ft. high to half-landing 

3522  THE FROSTED GLASS OVAL DOME in ornamental painted iron framework, designed in husk festoons, in the Adam style, the center fitted large gilt metal framed ceiling electrolier, with glass bead panels, and cut-glass bowl, and the angle iron supporting framework over, size of dome approximately 24 ft. by 19 ft. 

3523  THE PAINTED AND GILT BALUSTRADE with tied acanthus margins, nine lengths of reeded gilt wood handrail, nine panels of painted and gilded scroll ironwork, eight composite columns, and two carved cone terminals, the gilded and painted leaf moulding to dome, the white painted ditto above, (to upper floor only), but including the four triangular ceiling panels to outer corners 

3524  THE STAIRCASE en suite FROM BOAT DECK FLOOR LEVEL TO PROMENADE DECK LEVEL, as follows:  the oak treads and risers to double fan-shaped centre, the half-landing and the left and right hand treads and risers, fitted inset composition flooring and 38 rubber nosings, four newel posts, with carved cone terminals, centre handrail and two newels, eight painted and gilded wrought metal panels, and four lengths of shaped reeded gilt wood handrails. 3535  THE GREEN AND BISCUIT COLOURED PAINTED ON OAK PANELLING TO “D” DECK LOBBY, with fluted pilasters, relieved with gilt, comprising the cupboard under stairs, the return end adjoining, and return end wall to head of lower stairs, fitted one hinged panel, enclosing Bostwick gate, in all about 50 ft. run by 8 ft. high, with pair of folding doors and two single ditto, with furniture, and the ceiling at foot of stairs
